in Software Development for over 20 Years

The BRIDG SDK is the foundation software of the BRIDG system packaged into a set of software libraries and tools that provide you with a powerful environment for rapid software development. It has been in development for over ten years. It grew as a natural extension of the highly successful BRIDG software development effort by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
When a manufacturer designs and builds a new product it is not uncommon for the "tooling" cost, the expense of creating the tools needed to build the product to often consume a major portion of the initial costs. How can anyone think that software is different? In fact, software "tooling" costs often exceed 80% of a project's budget. BRIDG was not an exception, but we did learn to re-use our tools, and package them for future products.
Before you lay down one line of application code, count on spending two-thirds of your development time on tools, such as: editors, graphics, file management, database, communications, coordination and utilities, just to name a few of the basics. Once this is all done, then you can add the code that actually solves your problem.
The BRIDG SDK is a set of pre-made "Tools" that give you a jump start past most of the necessary foundation work and allows you to do the real work of the project much sooner.
The BRIDG SDK provides an environment that has proven itself to work for multi-developer projects and is designed for third party additions. Its open system architecture does not limit the designer to its set of tools.
Some basic features of the SDK:

| Memory Resident DBMS for rapid data storage, sorting and retrieval. | ||
| File I/O geared for report generation. | ||
| Permutation generator. | ||
| Access to the BRIDG modules for enhancements or additions. | ||
